Designing integrated landscapes requires sensitivity to the long time-scale ecosystem and life supporting planetary processes. Our endeavor is to prove that land development can be life enhancing and not erosive of the processes that maintain biodiversity and ecological balance.
We believe that if we invest in "natural capital" - clean air, pure water, healthy soil and productive landscapes and forests, we invest in a sustainable future. We believe that over the long run the markets will respond to environmental degradation by placing higher values on biodiversity, ecologically healthy land, and sustainable agriculture.
As a living laboratory, we research and develop systems that transform unsustainable environmental practices. We strive to steward the land, employing ecological ‘best practice' wherever possible. We meet challenges through ‘out of the box' solutions, and experimentation. We seek to refine methods for transforming ‘food waste' into ‘resource', thereby creating live, biologically and nutrient-rich compost.
Our over-riding goal is to participate in the movement to identify & refine solutions for regional economic development in different areas of the world.
We believe more and more people will want to live in environs that are in greater harmony with natural systems and the local ecology. We believe that the economic future holds great promise for local enterprises that reflect strong ecological and social values.
